Aged in 60% French/ 40% American Oak Barrels

The ripe berry flavor is swirled into the deep and smooth tannins to delight the mouth with the 2001 Merlot.  The nose is awakened with the mixture of spices including nutmeg and cinnamon. Spices and deep flavoring make the 2001 Merlot a perfect bedfellow with beef or lamb.  Taverna’s Spiced Lamb Flatbread would showcase the smooth Merlot well.
